I'm playing Identify the Unnamed Video File and I click on one and... Clicking around through the intro, trying to identify the group, and it says Mad Jesters and I'm like -squints- All of my BOTs are identified, what is this?

Mad Jesters debuted at GENE's Mad Cyclone tour. That was 2017. Two years before the formation of Jr.Exile or the announce of BOT.

He is the commanding officer of the Mad Jesters, a group of thieves. On the surface, he is a private detective and runs a detective agency with Zero. He is a clear-headed, calm, and collected man. He has engineering knowledge inherited from his father, who was a scientist, and makes full use of the various gimmicks he has created to steal. He also possesses the unique ability to duplicate anything he touches and is the most accurate in the team.

He is soft-spoken but passionate on the inside. He is a solitary rebel who loves punk rock.

Battle of Tokyo “Shoot It Out” GIFs

I liked the shots when they were face to face so I wanted to post a few 😊 sorry if this post is long 😅

I'm wondering if the different color crystals mean anything during the "Ally or kill" section of Justice is Blind. Zero, presumably representing Mad Jesters, has a purple crystal; Libra, presumably representing Jiggy Boys, has a green crystal; and Kagura, presumably representing Astro9, has a purple crystal.

However, while there are two groups Rowdy Shogun seems to be opposing and one group that they seem to be allying with, that's not how the crystal colors shake out. Astro9 and Mad Jesters both have purple crystals, while Jiggy Boys have green, but Astro9 is the group Rowdy Shogun has the least problems with at this moment.

For the Mad Jesters, they stole an object the Rowdy Shogun were hired to protect (though apparently the item was stolen before it got to the auction the Rowdy Shogun was hired for, so they didn't technically lose the object; but that was still an affront to Lupus's pride). Marduk has flat out tried to kill Rosso twice (ex-assassin instincts die hard, apparently) and the Mad Jesters once set off a number of bombs to bury the Rowdy Shogun in rubble.

For Jiggy Boys - well, they stole the Rowdy Shogun's helicopter while trying to frame Astro9 for the theft. Then crashing said helicopter. And then, after all of the trouble to frame Astro9 for the theft, they fucking admit it to the Rowdy Shogun that Jiggy Boys stole the fucking helicopter. My guys. You specifically dragged Rowdy Shogun into the problem so they could beat up Astro9 and then admitted you did so. Also, mocking two ex-assassins for wanting to turn their lives around is kinda not cool, Claude. And may very well further hinder any negotiations to get them to not want to kill you.

Astro9 and Rowdy Shogun have worked together, with less quibbles than any other group. There was the helicopter theft framing, but when that cleared up, it seemed to settle into Astro9/Rowdy Shogun vs. Mad Jesters/Jiggy Boys.

Okay, I'm rewatching the three MVs we have so far to see what details I can notice. I am updating this as I find information and notice things, so it is incredibly jumbled, I apologize. Any knowledge I have of the Battle of Tokyo plot comes from buchib's livejournal.

The different backgrounds are different important items from the novels - the Mad Jesters have one of the books, Rowdy Shogun has the black diamond, and Astro9 has the mirror.

SherRock tears a page out of his book and lets it fly away - I think that's the page that flies through Justice is Blind and Black Magic. After doing this, he leaves the book behind and Zero picks it up, which is why he has it to compare with Teku in Black Magic.

I'm not sure what's going on with the different color crystals - so far I've seen green, red, white and purple. That's where the cameos from other groups tends to happen the most - In Beautiful Liar, SawaNatsu/Hajime is holding a red crystal, Kazuma/Lupus has a green crystal, Sekai/Teku has a red crystal, Ryoga/Michi has a green crystal.

Leiya/Kagura has shown up in every MV so far. Facing off against Reo/Masato and Hayato/Chatter in Beautiful Liar with Keito/Kane, Shogo/Travis and Shohei/Sarutobi. This scene is repeated in Black Magic, but without the Rowdy Shogun mbrs, which intrigues me. Kagura also ran through Justice is Blind and has a moment with Sarutobi, I think related to the fact both are speedsters. I was going to say that Kane has also shown up in every MV, but I don't think he was in Justice is Blind, now that I think about it.

Different characters are showing up in other group's MVs - every video so far has had a different Dung Beat Posse member.

According to the Exile Tribe wiki, we do have names for all 7 Dung Beat Posse mbrs. This may not be a recent development - god knows my memory is shit - but this is new information to me and maybe to any readers as well. The names are:

Tsurugi is Force, who showed up in the Justice is Blind MV crossing swords with Goemon.

Ryoga is Michi, who showed up in the Beautiful Liar MV. Michi is holding a green crystal, then turns around and walks away with it.

Ren is Ayase, who I don't think we've seen yet and at this rate would have to be in BBZ video tomorrow if they're having a cameo in every MV.

Jimmy is VinceP, who was in Black Magic today.

Kokoro is Haruto, who I couldn't find in the three MVs, but I may have missed it.

Ryushin is Hankichi, who I similarly haven't seen in the three MVs so far, but, again, may have missed him.

Weesa is Malik, who was also in Black Magic today.

I'm not sure why Riku/Bailey is in Black Magic and pocketing a red crystal to boot. The only other person I can remember taking the crystal they're holding is Michi.

Rewatching Shoot It Out and I love the sheer level of "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" vibes from Rowdy Shogun to Mad Jesters

I do have to admit, I don't think the concept was as - solidified - back in 2019. The 2019 vibes are very different from the 2022 and 2023 vibes. 2019 Rowdy Shogun in Shoot It Out gives 'street rat' vibes, compared to 'organized bouncer gang' vibes. 2019 Mad Jesters give 'rich asshole' vibes in Shoot It Out, because it looks - to me - like they just drove up into Rowdy Shogun's territory and started shit.

I made a quiz for identifying which member of Jr. Exile matches up to which character in Battle of Tokyo because I read the book summaries written by buchib on LJ and went "I have no idea who anyone is." 😂
